Installation

In this picture, you're looking at the positive connection to my car battery. The nice thing about the S60 is that its battery is in the trunk. This made the install much easier. The small wire hanging off of the battery is the wire I'm using to test the inverter.

Here's my left rear door without the inside panel. The stock speaker is already removed. I should have taken pictures before it was removed so you could see how ridiculously volvo mounts their speakers. They use rivets, torx screws, phillips screws, and glue to hold their speakers down!

Here's my dashboard minus the stock head unit. Wiring harnesses from Crutchfield made the head unit install easy and painless since I didn't have to cut any of the stock wires or figure out which wire is which. Speaker wires are run from the amps in my trunk to the dashboard and are connected to the stock speaker wires which make their way to the new speakers. If I wanted to run completely new wries to every speaker, I would have to take apart far more of the doors than I would have liked to.

Here's the driver's door after its speaker and crossover have been installed. The speaker is a Polk/Momo MMC650. These are great speakers, I would recommend them to anyone.

Here are the speaker wires and the AC extension cord for the inverter which were run along the passenger side of the car. I ended up needing to re-run the extension cord on the other side of the car because it caused interference with the speaker wires.

Here are the messy wires on the back side of the amplifiers. The knobs mounted near each amp are remote bass knobs. These are more of a hassle than anything, but I can see them being useful if the amps are used for subwoofers.
